Masters and PhDs by Research

The School of Occupational Therapy offers two types of higher degree by research: the Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy. These are suitable for applicants with backgrounds in occupational therapy, health and social science disciplines. The links below provide details on the research degrees, entry requirements and application details.

  • Master of Science
    This program is suitable for candidates with an undergraduate degree, postgraduate diploma or honours degree. It is available either on campus or in distance mode and can be taken on either a full time or part-time basis. Distance mode includes a short period of annual attendance on campus.
  • PhD
    This program is suitable for candidates with a first class or upper second class honours degree, a postgraduate diploma, or research masters degree. The program is available either on campus or in distance mode and can be taken on either a full time or part-time basis. Distance mode includes a short period of annual attendance on campus.
