Country Programs - South Africa
The Uitenhage Provincial Hospital hosts faculty students in this clinical placement that exposes them to the richness and diversity of South African culture and the community impact of AIDS and TB. Working in often under resourced services students are able to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills in a variety of complex clinical and community situations.
"Go Global South Africa was an unbelievable life experience. The children were so thankful and happy, despite their disabilities and resource restrictions. Working in a high demand setting with limited resources challenges one's professional and personal skills and you come out a more appreciative, creative, and energetic therapist."
(Caris Baldock, South Africa Go Global Student 2008)
